past layouts
As you can see, the current layout is much more refined than the previous sites. I'm using PHP, CSS (+ positioning) and Javascript, plus I have multiple stylesheets with different looks for the site. I ditched the books section, as I never updated it.. This site is now more focused on my interests at the present time. I am currently working on a custom guestbook script that makes use of a MySQL database, as well as a web-based file editor so I can update the site remotely.
This site was much more polished than the last one, it had a splash page, and a simple frame layout with javascript controlled navigation buttons. I added an Asian music section, as I was getting into that at the time. I carried over a fair bit of the content from my previous website, but added some new pages as well. This layout was up for a long time, as it worked pretty well. This site started out as just HTML, but I added stylesheet support and converted the pages to PHP later on.
This was my first real attempt at a personal website, and it was made sometime in 1998. It has sort of a dark look to it, as I was still going by the handle Maelstrom Darkwing at the time. It sort of sounds like a dragon's name.. It was a fairly simple design, but the fire effects were nice. I also had a funny guided tour of the site that i wrote using Final Fantasy 7 characters. ^_^
I don't have my very first website design anymore.. It was created around 1995 or 1996 when I didn't know much about HTML at all. I remember it being fairly small, only about 5 pages. I can't even remember what I called it. Well anyway, it wasn't anything special.
Besides these sites, I also have a fairly large and comprehensive S.E.S Fansite, and I made a site about the korean singing group Nazca which never really went anywhere.
