August 2001 - Present (Permanent)
Senior Web Technician - Right Now Technologies, Irving TX (moved to San Mateo, CA office 6/1/05)
- Created or helped in customizing RightNow CRM sites for clients such as: Akamai, Alliance Capital, Enterprise, Leapfrog, Napster, Minolta-QMS, Daimler Chrysler and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
- Responsible for creating the majority of demo sites requested by salespeople to show to prospective clients.
- Developed a comprehensive training module for new Web Technicians.
- Redesigned and improved the site we use for salespeople to submit requests.
January 2001 - March 2001 (Contract)
HTML Contractor - Dallas Semiconductor, Dallas TX
- Used HomeSite to prepare over 400 individual web pages for use in a shopping cart web application.
- Converted visual designs into HTML/DHTML pages without the use of an editor (by hand).
- Utilized compression to optimize web graphics with Photoshop to reduce file size while retaining visual quality.
- General maintenance and updates of several company Internet sites.
October 2000 - January 2001 (Contract)
Web Technician - Right Now Technologies, Carrollton TX
- Responsible for creating demo sites using HTML, Dreamweaver, and JavaScript for the sales department to show to potential customers.
- Worked with a team of web technicians to produce demo sites to aid the sales department; sometimes with very short notice.
- Integrated the customers existing look and feel on their web site with RightNow Web.
- Converted existing customers RightNow Web 3.2 sites to the new version.
April 2000 - July 2000 (Contract)
HTML Contractor - Dallas Semiconductor, Dallas TX
- Converted www.dalsemi.com and www.ibutton.com to a new layout, cleaning up and simplifying the existing HTML code.
- Implemented Cascading Style Sheets on dalsemi.com to make future revisions much easier, faster, and less problematic.
- Used Allaire HomeSite 4.5 to effectively speed up web site development.
- Extensively tested both web sites in Netscape and Internet Explorer for full compatibility.
October 1998 - January 2000 (Intern/Co-op)
Intranet Site Designer - Fujitsu Network Communications, Richardson TX
- Designed and developed two intranet web sites for Fujitsu using HTML, Active Server Pages, Dreamweaver, Acrobat PDF documents, and MS Access databases.
- Implemented a Java based E-commerce web site for the Fujitsu Company Store.
- Acquired a working knowledge of Active Server Pages and used ASP scripting to interface with an Access database.
- Created and worked with existing relational databases such as MS Access. I studied the design and implementation of relational databases and how they could be put to good effect in the enterprise.
- Gained proficiency using Adobe Acrobat to scan in documents.
August 1997 - July 1998 (Intern/Co-op)
Webmaster / Site Designer - UniComp Technologies, Dallas TX
- Learned HTML coding by working on internal web sites, then transitioned to constructing web sites for clients. I collaborated with other designers and graphic artists on most of the projects and learned useful team skills.
- Performed Web and FTP Administration on a Windows NT 4.0 Server. Administrative duties included setting up new web sites, making changes, and deleting existing web sites.
- Responsible for all DNS (Domain Name Service) registration and updates.
note: Unicomp Technologies has since gone out of business, so many of the sites I created for them are not online any longer.
